Thoughtfully Selected Coffee Roasted to Perfection

Welcome to a journey for a clean cup of coffee. Free of defects, harsh notes, and bad acidity. My passion to source good quality coffee beans and roast them to perfection is your shortcut to brewing a cup of coffee at home that you’ll look forward making each morning.

Farm to Table — Somethin’s Brewing selects fine beans from around the world. We care about the farms we buy from and buy from sources that treat farmers fairly.

Roaster’s Notes:

Check out our Blog! Mark provides simple instructions on how to enjoy your brew even more!

Mark is busy building inventory and experimenting with new beans. We’ve built up sufficient stock of Timor (a family favorite) to begin on lines sales. Check back soon to buy on line!

We’re on-line! Finally, our web site is up and running. Deneen has worked hard to make the site user friendly and informative. On-line bean sales will be coming as soon as inventory supports. Feel free to email us at 11thGilbert@gmail.com with feedback and requests. (yes, Mark is the 11th child in his family)

Our roasting process: Mark carefully selects beans from the world’s best growing locations and buys them responsibly from distributors who focus on farmer’s well -being. Mark experiments with each batch to ensure the proper roasting conditions before starting a new production run. Beans are micro-roasted (very small batches) and are carefully monitored during roast to ensure the best possible, and most consistent bag of beans gets to you, our favorite customers! Finally each batch is weighed and bagged to ensure freshness.

Mark’s love for coffee truly began when he helped his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Chrissy, start up their own coffee shop in South Carolina in the early 1990’s. Since then, Mark has been avidly researching and experimenting with coffee roasting, particularly those coffees that are grown by small farms in remote areas. Work, family and fate put Mark’s vision of owning his own roasting company on hold until recently, when his two oldest daughters, Grace and Lucy, went off to college. With a little more time and a helpful 13-year-old son, Samuel, Mark has been able to re-dedicate himself to his passion.

Mark and his wife, Deneen, are happy to report that the business is now up and running. Welcome to Somethin’s Brewing, Mark’s happy place.
